Police Seek Information On Recent Church Vandalism’s

Melbourne Police Department were called to two separate churches for reports of vandalism.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department was recently called to two separate churches for reports of vandalism.

The first vandalism happened at the Central Baptist Church on Country Club Rd. in Melbourne, where workers located spray painted symbols and cryptic phrases at the rear of the church.

The other report of vandalism was received from New Shiloh Christian Center located on University Blvd.

At the New Shiloh Christian Center, two of the church vans were spray painted with symbols and cryptic phrases.

According to investigators, each incident the spray painted symbols and cryptic phrases were similar.

According to Melbourne police, this is the third case in the past month where vandals spray painted symbols and cryptic phrases on local churches.

The investigation has not yet identified a specific motive for these repeat acts of vandalism.

The Melbourne Police Department is actively investigating these cases and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) involved in these incidents.CRIMELINE-200
