Raz Breaks Her Own Record at NCAA Championship

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech sophomore Dar Raz narrowly clipped her own school record in the 200-yard freestyle on Thursday at the NCAA Championship at the IU Natatorium.

The Israeli native bested her own best time by a mere one hundredth of a second, taking 39th in the preliminary race with a time of 1:53.67.

Nir Barnea also competed at the NCAA Championship on Thursday, snagging 23rd in the 100-yard butterfly prelims after touching in 49.06.

Raz will be in action again on Friday, racing in the 100-yard backstroke, the very same event that she won the gold medal in at the Sunshine State Conference Championship.

Barnea will have the day off before wrapping up the championship on Saturday.
