BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – After securing a second place tie in a loaded field at the Southeastern Collegiate, senior Ray Badenhorst has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week.

Competing against four top-10 programs, Badenhorst fired a five-under-par 211 over the course of the three-day event to guide the No. 15 Panthers to a collective fifth place finish.

In doing so, the player with the NCAA Division II 17th-best scoring average failed to shoot a single round over par.

Badenhorst’s effort was tied for tops among SSC participants, as he completed play with the fifth most birdies and No.1 scoring average on the par fours – 3.83.

The Florida Tech men will return to competition one week from today at the Lander Invitational in Greenwood, South Carolina.
