An 81-year old bicyclist collided with the side of a City of Cocoa Beach Public Works vehicle that was traveling in the opposite lane in the 1500 block of Minutemen Causeway on Tuesday at about 1 p.m., according to the Cocoa Beach Police.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – An 81-year old bicyclist collided with the side of a City of Cocoa Beach Public Works vehicle that was traveling in the opposite lane in the 1500 block of Minutemen Causeway on Tuesday at about 1 p.m., according to the Cocoa Beach Police.

The victim was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, where he was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and the crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
