City Manager Gregg Lynk announces the appointment of David Isnardi to the position of Deputy City Manager.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay City Manager Gregg Lynk announces the appointment of David Isnardi to the position of Deputy City Manager.

Isnardi will begin working on May 11th.

Isnardi is a lifelong resident of Brevard County and has lived in Palm Bay since 2001.

He has a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Phoenix. Since 2008, Isnardi has served as the chief of staff for the District 5 County Commission Office, which has been lauded one of the most efficient district offices in Brevard County.

Isnardi’s duties and responsibilities with the City of Palm Bay will include a variety of responsible staff management duties, tasks and projects for the city manager.

Isnardi will be responsible for overseeing the Public Works Department, Community Planning and Economic Development, Parks and Recreation, Palm Bay Utilities and the Building Division.

He will act as city manager in the absence of the city manager.

In addition to the department management duties, Isnardi will coordinate and administer special projects at the direction of the city manager.

He is also expected to ensure the city’s regionally significant projects are well coordinated with public-private partnerships that position the city for well planned growth and prosperity in both the near and long term future.

Isnardi served in the U.S. Army for 23 years, is highly decorated, with proven leadership qualities and management skills.

He is also an advocate for veterans, and has been instrumental in helping the city with its Homes for Warriors program through a partnership with the Space Coast Paratroopers, in which he serves as vice president.

He was recently awarded the Thomas Jefferson Award for Volunteerism.

He also received the Community Partner of the Year award for his work with University Elementary School. Isnardi is married to former Palm Bay City Councilmember Kristine Isnardi and together they have 6 children.

Lynk still has several key positions to fill in his administration. Acting City Manager Chad Shoultz resigned on April 23. Assistant to the City Manager Suzanne Sherman will remain in her current role.

Lynk is still in the process of working with the Human Resources Department to recruit a new Economic and Business Development Administrator and will soon make an announcement regarding a new Parks and Recreation Director.
