Jasmine Marie Gailey of Melbourne Is Miss Florida Pre Teen Pageant Finalist

BREVARD COUNTY MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Local surfer Jasmine Marie Gailey of Melbourne, 12, has been chosen as a Finalist for the Miss Florida Pre Teen Pageant to be held July 18 and 19 at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando.

If crowned Miss Pre Teen Florida, she will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California.

She would represent the great state of Florida for the entire year and would also tour Hollywood.

Gailey’s activities include school, church, reading, writing, skateboarding, surfing, helping others and being a light in the community. She is a lover of all people, animals, places and things and will drop everything she is doing to help someone in need.

She also enjoys competing in surf competitions and is currently ranked first for the Gnarly Charley Surf Series based out of New Symrna Beach, Florida.

The National American Miss Pageant System is the largest in the Nation.

The focus of this organization is to create future leaders and to equip them with real-world skills to make their dreams a reality.

The program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers an “All-American spirit of fun for family and friends.”

Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence and learning new skills, such as good attitudes about competition, as well as setting and achieving personal goals.

Pageants are held for girls ages 4 to 18, in five different age groups.

Contestants will compete in four overall categories including, Formal Wear Modeling, Personal Introduction, Interview and Community Service Project.

National American Miss also offers optional contests such as the Top Model Search, Talent, Actress and more. The organization is dedicated to celebrating America’s greatness and encouraging its future leaders.

Each year, the pageant awards thousands of scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young ladies nationwide.

All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented.
