ESPN suspended McHenry, who is a reporter for the sports network, for one week after a video was released showing her verbally attacking a tow truck company cashier for her weight, education level and skill set.

In addition, the Manatees extend an invitation to Wednesday morning’s April 22 home game against the Lakeland Flying Tigers, one of the team’s select Education Days, to discuss the importance of anti-bullying to an audience of 1,000 local elementary school students.

The Manatees organization extend this in an effort to provide the ESPN reporter an opportunity to return to her hometown and deliver a powerful message while supporting the symbol of the community and its Minor League Baseball team.

The fans of the Brevard County Manatees embrace the beloved Sea Cow, which may not be the most glamorous of mascots but is respected, like all creatures, as a beautiful part of planet Earth.
