BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech men’s tennis (12-8, 1-3 SSC) was shaken by the fifth ranked Lions of Saint Leo (14-4, 4-1 SSC) Wednesday afternoon at the Saint Leo Tennis Complex, falling by a 9-0 margin.

The Panthers were behind 3-0 after doubles play, though Beau Fieldsend and Ricardo Corona put a scare in No. 7 ranked Alex Theiler and Bruno Sisti, ultimately surrendering the point 8-6.

Corona was the only Panther to claim a set in singles action, pushing Sisti to a 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 margin in the No. 4 slot.

Daniel Armellino came close to forcing a third set in his No. 3 match against Guillaume Vanelven, ultimately falling 6-0, 7-6 (7-3).

The Panthers return to action on Monday, hosting Rollins at 2:30 p.m. ET at Fee Avenue Park in Melbourne.
