BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — Palm Bay Fire-Rescue crew from Station 5/Engine 5 “A”-shift along with chiefs and volunteers presented a check to the American Red Cross Space Coast Chapter Tuesday afternoon to support its continued local efforts in disaster relief and crisis intervention.

PALM-BAY-580A weekend “Fill the Boot” drive at the Malabar Rd. Wal-Mart raised more than $1,800 in partnership with the Palm Bay Firefighters Community Benevolent Fund to help support local charities.

The American Red Cross Space Coast Chapter plays a vital role in providing disaster relief and recovery.

It is one of many local charities the firefighters support.

“The American Red Cross does so much for our community and the organization relies on donations to reach people,” said Battalion Chief Gene Harrell.

“Anything we can do to help people recover from a crisis like a fire or natural disaster or other critical incident, we will do it.”

We want to thank all who donated during this fundraiser,” said Harrell

The Palm Bay Firefighters Community Benevolent Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization designed to provide community support through charitable events and contributions.
