BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA  – The District 22 Tournament of Champions got underway Wednesday evening at Rockledge’s McKnight Family Complex in the Senior softball division. 

Mims Little League (visitors) lost a hard-fought game to North Merritt Island Little League, 10-9 in 6 1/2 innings.

Senior softball continues tomorrow night, while Major and Junior baseball will also get underway at Port St. John’s Space Coast Communities Sports Complex.

Senior softball continued Thursday night at Rockledge’s McKnight Family Sports Complex with Rockledge Little League defeating the visiting Mims Little League 12-1 in 4 1/2 innings.

Friday night’s game between Rockledge and North Merritt Island Little Leagues will determine the Champion in this division.

Major baseball got underway at Port St. John’s Space Coast Communities Sports Complex with Mims Little League winning over Rockledge Little League 21-10 in 5 innings.

Major baseball got underway at Port St. John’s Space Coast Communities Sports Complex with Mims Little League winning over Rockledge Little League 21-10 in 5 innings.

For Rockledge, C. Christensen hit a 3-run shot.  Mims’ R. Speece hit a Grand Slam homer and Hallie Blake was the winning pitcher.

There will be two games tFriday night as this division continues.

In Junior baseball, also at Space Coast Communities Sports Complex, Indian River City Little League beat Rockledge Little League 13-7 in 6 1/2 innings.

Indian River City’s T. Felker had an unassisted double play in support of IRC’s win.  This division will continue Friday night with two more games.
