Last night, the Rockledge Little League Senior softball team claimed the District 22 Tournament title with a 15-7 victory over the North Merritt Island Little League.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Last night, the Rockledge Little League Senior softball team claimed the District 22 Tournament title with a 15-7 victory over the North Merritt Island Little League.

The Major softball tournament began Saturday morning at Rockledge’s McKnight Family Sports Complex.

Over at Port St. John’s Space Coast Communities Sports Complex, there were two games in the Major baseball division where Merritt Island Little League captured a 12-2 victory over Rockledge Little League with a walk-off 3-run shot in the 4th inning.

In the other game, Indian River City Little League fell to Space Coast Little League 14-7.

J. Woodward led it off for Indian River City with a lead off home run but Space Coast’s Pryzgoda had a 3-run homer to help lead the team to victory over Indian River.

In Junior baseball, Mims Little League was victorious over Rockledge Little League 7-2 and North Merritt Island Little League squeaked by Port St. John, 8-7 in 6 1/2 innings.

The Major softball tournament began Saturday morning at Rockledge’s McKnight Family Sports Complex as play continues today in the Major and Junior baseball divisions.
