Titusville Fire Department Puts Out Early Morning Residential Blaze On Pine Street

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – At 2:05 a.m. Friday, Battalion 2: D-10, E-10, E-11, E-12, R-13 and EMS-1 responded to a report of a structure fire at 909 Pine Street in Titusville.
The caller advised he was unsure if there was still anyone in the house, but that someone did live there.
Within minutes E-11, District 10 and E-10 arrived to find a single story concrete block duplex with fire venting through the roof. District 10 established Command while E-11 completed a quick 360 of the building confirming heavy fire venting through the roof with 50 percent involvement of the structure.
It was noted upon walk around that the right side of the duplex was not involved with fire and the windows were boarded up. It was reported that there could be children located in the right side as well.
E-11 and E-10 initiated a rapid Primary search of the right side of the duplex with a hose line with no one found. E-12 had arrived and pulled the boards off the windows to assist with ventilation while the Primary search was being initiated.
After clearing the right side of the duplex, units were in a defensive mode and knocked down the fire from the outside.
The fire was reported out at 2:39 am. The State Fire Marshal’s office is on scene and the fire is under investigation. There have been two other occurrences of fire at this address in the past.
There were no injuries to fire personnel on scene and attempts are currently being made to confirm the location of the person known to occupy the structure.
