BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – A 90-year-old man was killed in a fatal crash that occurred just after 7 a.m. Wednesday morning near the intersection of Harper Boulevard SW and Dalhart Street SW.

According to Yvonne Martinez, Palm Bay Public Information Coordinator, traffic homicide investigators are currently at the scene of a fatal crash.

“According to witnesses, the driver drifted off the roadway and struck a concrete power pole,” said Martinez.

Martinez said that investigators found no evidence the driver of the white Chevy Trailblazer made any attempts to brake and was traveling at approximately 40 miles per hour at the time of impact.

The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine if there were any medical issues that may have contributed to the crash.

The identity of the driver is being withheld until next of kin are notified and the investigation is ongoing.
