WASHINGTON, DC – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Basketball Enforcers face their first opponent this morning as they compete against the Firefighters from Athens, Greece.

The Enforcers are one of almost 20 teams from around the world who are competing in the Division I Basketball Competition at the World Police and Fire Games in Fairfax, Virginia.

Last year the Enforcers brought home a Silver Medal in the United States Police and Fire Games after losing in the finals to LAPD.

The Enforcers are excited about the competition and the opportunity to represent Brevard County against Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters across the globe.

All of the Enforcers volunteer their time to represent our agency and fund their own way to the tournaments through fundraising efforts.

Closer to home the Enforcers can be seen helping coach the Summer PAL Basketball Camps and playing charity games to help local organizations and High School Athletic Programs.

Wish our team luck as we go for the Gold!
