HRSS Consulting Group In Cocoa Now HUBZone Certified Business

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – HRSS Consulting Group, LLC (pronounced “hers”) began operations in 2009 as a part-time, virtual, independent consulting business for owner and U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Karen Gregory.
Gregory began her career in the Air Force as one of a small group of Behavior Scientists and was later approached by a former employer, and Department of Defense organization, for part-time consulting work. It was then that Gregory made the transition from active duty to reservist to begin the next chapter of her life.
One year later, she took on fulltime consulting work in Brevard County in order to be close to her family and experiment with the business’s growth potential. In 2013, the first business location opened in Merritt Island.
Soon after, this Veteran-Owned and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned business relocated their offices within the City of Cocoa’s HUBZone in an effort to seek further growth opportunities.
In March, HRSS Consulting Group became a HUBZone certified business by the Federal Government.
Focusing primarily on government and small business consulting, HRSS provides services in Human Relations Strategies and Solutions, as well as professional business coaching, organization assessment and development, and leadership learning and development.
Programs unique to HRSS include Mastermind group coaching and small business speed networking; the July 15 speed networking event will be taking place at Bobbi’s at Parkside in Cocoa Village.
Despite heavy involvement with local businesses, HRSS has an impact far beyond Brevard County with contracts across the country and currently in pursuit of two government contracts in North Carolina and California. Karen and her team of five don’t plan to slow down anytime soon.
Moving forward, HRSS Consulting Group plans to expand partnership opportunities with corresponding businesses, such as Cape Canaveral’s Craig Technologies, to begin working in corporate consulting, diversify and grow the core staff, and help build up more small businesses.
