All-Stars action continued Wednesday night for District 22 Little League. In the 9-10 year old baseball pool at Rockledge’s McLarty Park, Merritt Island Little League defeated Rockledge Little League 20-3 in 4 innings to move on to Friday night’s final.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – All-Stars action continued Wednesday night for District 22 Little League. In the 9-10 year old baseball pool at Rockledge’s McLarty Park, Merritt Island Little League defeated Rockledge Little League 20-3 in 4 innings to move on to Friday night’s final.

Rockledge’s Austin Munchback hit a double while Merritt Island’s Parker Dawson had a double and Tyler McClanahan had a double and a triple.

At Cocoa’s Stradley Park, Mims Little League locked horns with Cocoa Little League. For Mims, Caleb Sargenti hit an RBI triple. Dean Hanselman hit a 2-RBI double for Cocoa to help lead them to an 8-4 victory in 5 1/2 innings.

The win pits Cocoa Little League against Merritt Island Little League in Friday’s 9/10 baseball final at Stradley Park.

In the 10-11 year old baseball, Merritt Island Little League’s bats lit up against Rockledge Little League.

For Rockledge, Nathan Dudley went 2-for-3 at the plate and Zander Chapman hit a 2-RBI double scoring Rockledge’s runs.

For Merritt Island, Brady Denaburg, Bobby Ives, Gage Garcia and Connor Dusch hit doubles while Tyler Coutu added a home run to the mix.

Merritt Island’s Brady Denaburg and Grant Paparella each had 2 homers to lead Merritt Island to a 27-2 victory in 4 hit-filled innings.

With the win, Merritt Island Little League claims the 10/11 year old Baseball Division Championship and will represent District 22 in the Florida Section 3 Tournament on July 11th in St. Augustine.
