Melbourne Transient Registered Sex Offender Is Suspect In CVS Robbery

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers are seeking Harry Ransom Joiner III, who is a suspect in connection with a robbery Saturday at about 3 a.m. at CVS Pharmacy at 15 E. New Haven Avenue.
According to Melbourne Police Lt. Tim Turner, an unknown middle-aged balding white male carrying a backpack, and wearing shorts, no shirt and flip flops, entered the CVS Pharmacy and threatened the clerk, demanding money from the cash register.
The suspect demanded the money while placing his hand in the back pack after he putting it on the counter implying a weapon, according to Lt. Turner. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of money and a beer.
According to police, the above photo was captured from video surveillance, and through further investigation, Joiner was developed as the suspect and was positively identified. He is a registered sex offender.
Joiner, 50, has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. According to police he is a transient.
