Palm Bay Police Seeking Subway Restaurant Armed Robbery Suspect

SUSPECT FLED WITH CASH, SANDWICH
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Detectives with the Palm Bay Police Major Case Unit are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Thursday night at the Subway restaurant located at 195 Malabar Road NW.
According to Yvonne Martinez, Palm Bay Public Information Coordinator, at approximately 11 p.m. patrol officers responded to the Subway after an employee called 9-1-1.
According to the victim, the suspect was in the store for 5 to 10 minutes while ordering a menu item.
The clerk reported the suspect said he was waiting for someone to bring him money and waited in the dining area for a customer to leave. The suspect then presented the clerk with a note and displayed a black handgun in his waistband.
The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and the sandwich he ordered.
The suspect is described as an Asian male in his 20s, 6-feet tall, thin build, wearing a red polo shirt, black cap, black pants and slide-on sandals.
A perimeter was established with Brevard county Sheriff’s Office STAR aviation unit and the Palm Bay Police Department K-9 unit responding.
The suspect was not located.
