Who ya gonna call about coyotes?

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission wildlife assistance biologists get a lot of calls about coyotes, which are found in Brevard and throughout Florida as part of natural range expansion from western states, and are known to be in all 67 counties.

They can be found in rural, suburban and even urban areas. Coyotes are generally shy and elusive, but residents see them more often as they adapt to areas near where people work and live.

And while coyotes are typically more active at dusk and dawn, it’s not unusual to see them out during the day.
