BREVARD COUNTY MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — Looking to build off arguably the best campaign in the program’s relatively brief history, Florida Tech men’s and women’s swimming announced its schedule for the 2015-16 season on Friday.

The Panthers should be comfortable with their surroundings during the year, as all but one of FIT’s regular season meets will be held within the confines of the Panther Aquatic Center.

The campaign kicks off on Oct. 16 with Saint Leo and Lynn coming to town. The Panther women will face both the Lions and the Fighting Knights, while the men will take on Saint Leo in a dual meet as Lynn does not carry a men’s team.

Following the Oct. 17 Alumni Meet, FIT welcomes Florida Southern to Melbourne on Oct. 23. The next day, Savannah College of Art & Design heads south to the Space Coast for a non-conference matchup with the Panthers.

On Nov. 6, Division I foe Florida Atlantic hosts FIT in Boca Raton, Florida in a rematch from last season in which the Panther men came out with a 144-118 victory.

FIT will cap the fall portion of its schedule by playing host in the Panther Invitational, scheduled for Nov. 19-22.

The Panthers will resume the season on Jan. 22 when Saint Leo and Lynn make a return trip to Brevard County.

The Sunshine State Conference schedule rolls on the next day when the Spartans of Tampa visit the Panther Aquatic Center. Exactly one week later, the regular season concludes on Jan. 30 against Rollins in Melbourne.

FIT looks to add to its ever-improving medal count at the SSC Championships, slated for Feb. 18-21 in Orlando, Florida. Qualifying individuals and teams will advance to the NCAA Championships, to take place Mar. 9-12 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
