Florida Woman To Compete For Ms. Wheelchair America National Title

Ms-Wheelchair-America-580-4Sara Gaver of Jacksonville will travel to Des Moines, Iowa, the last week of July to compete for the title of Ms. Wheelchair America 2016.

Gaver, who describes herself as outgoing, determined and kind- hearted, currently holds the title of Ms. Wheelchair Florida 2015.

She will participate in intensive personal interviews and workshops during the week-long event. The week long contest culminates with a night of platform speeches on July 31, 2015 and the crowning of the new National titleholder on August 1, 2015.

If crowned, Gaver will spend the next year traveling across America to break barriers faced by people with disabilities.

Although the contestants are showcased in a pageant format, physical beauty is not a consideration.

The 25 contestants will be judged on their advocacy work, personal interview, platform speeches and on-stage interviews.
