Melbourne Police Department Arrest Palm Bay Woman For Fifth DUI

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department arrested 37-year old Leonoris Estrada, of Palm Bay, for her fifth DUI this weekend.

The suspect was driving a tan Chevrolet Blazer in the area of Sarno Road and U.S. 1 when she was spotted by Melbourne Police Lt. Tim Turner.

According to Melbourne Police Commander Dan Lynch, the officer observed that Estrada failed to maintain her lane while driving south on U.S. 1.

Lt. Turner conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brevard Drive, and upon contact, determined that a DUI investigation was necessary, according to Commander Lynch.

The traffic stop was turned over to Officer Jeremy Parnell who conducted the DUI investigation. At the end of the investigation, Estrada was arrested for DUI.

A check of her driving history revealed 5 previous arrests throughout the state of Florida for DUI related charges.

The suspect was booked and then turned over to the Brevard County Jail in Sharpes.

The Melbourne Police Department is dedicated to reduce DUI related offenses in the city, according to Commander Lynch.

Since January 2015, the Melbourne Police Department has conducted an estimated 118 DUI investigations and will continue to search out suspected DUI violations within the City of Melbourne.
