West Melbourne Woman Arrested, Charged With DUI Manslaughter

Ariel E. Maurer, 22, arrested
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department has arrested Ariel E. Maurer, 22, of West Melbourne, after a traffic homicide investigation.
According to Melbourne police, the investigation revealed she was legally intoxicated while operating a vehicle east bound on University Boulevard on the evening of December 19, 2014.
Maurer struck and killed a bicyclist, Ariel Jenkins, who was riding in the same direction.
Maurer has been charged DUI, DUI Manslaughter and DUI Property Damage.
