BOB FREEMAN’S WEEKEND SURF REPORT

By  //  August 29, 2015

Waves are looking mostly unrideable this morning. Late-morning's lower tide could help make the small waves more rideable by then. Surfers seeking an early morning surf session may want to focus on Cocoa Beach's northernmost beaches for a longboardable wave.
Sunday’s surf will remain in the thigh- to waist-high range with bumpy conditions again from a steady southeasterly wind.

SURF REPORT FOR AUGUST 29-30

Bob Freeman has been surfing Brevard's waves since 1966.

SATURDAY: This morning we are seeing the early fetch Erika sent our way 3 days ago. Waves this Saturday morning are running in the waist- to chest-high range with slightly bumpy conditions from a light southeasterly breeze.

SUNDAY: I believe Sunday’s surf will increase back into the chest- to head-high range with bumpy conditions from an onshore wind.

Cocoa Beach ocean temperatures now average 81 degrees.
