Brevard Sheriff’s GAMEOVER Task Force Takes Down Four Wanted Fugitives In 48 Hours

The GAMEOVER Task Force was created in 2008 and consists of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the Titusville Police Department, the Cocoa Police Department, the Melbourne Police Department, the Palm Bay Police Department, FDLE, the USMS and the State Attorney’s Office.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office GAMEOVER Task Force has successfully removed four wanted fugitives from our communities over the past 48 hours.

Agents arrested a Barefoot Bay man wanted for a violent sexual battery, an escapee from a Michigan Correctional Facility, a Mims man wanted for a Titusville murder and a Titusville man wanted for the sale of cocaine.

In a cooperative effort with the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Task Force members arrested 32-year-old Joseph Beach, Friday evening, for Attempted Murder, Sexual Battery, Kidnapping and Aggravated Battery relating to an incident that occurred in Barefoot Bay in late July.

Beach was tracked to a residence in Vero Beach where he was taken into custody without further incident.

He was transported to the Indian River County Jail where is being held without bond pending extradition to Brevard County.

Also on Friday evening, GAMEOVER Task Force Agents assisted the USMS Fugitive Task Force in locating and apprehending 53-year-old Harry Barger who had an active warrant for Escape.

The arrest warrant was issued in April 2015, following an escape from a Michigan Correctional Facility. Barger was located and arrested at a residence in Titusville.

Barger was transported to the Brevard County Jail where he is being held on a no bond status pending removal to the federal judicial system.

Barger was sentenced to Federal Prison in December 2007 for the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In November 2014, he was transferred to a Correctional Facility in Detroit for work release. In April of 2015, Barger failed to return to the facility from his place of employment.

Late Friday evening, GAMEOVER Agents and the USMS assisted the Titusville Police Department by arresting 29-year-old Quentin Woodruff, who was wanted in connection with the June 30 homicide of Brandee Kelley.

On Saturday, GAMEOVER Agents were asked to assist the Titusville Police Department in a shooting investigation that resulted in two subjects being hospitalized.

Task Force Agents arrested 21-year-old Steven Williams Jr., of Titusville, early Sunday morning, reference to an arrest warrant for the Sale of Cocaine.

Williams turned over to the Titusville Police Department for questioning in connection to Saturday’s incident.

The GAMEOVER Task Force was created in 2008 and consists of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the Titusville Police Department, the Cocoa Police Department, the Melbourne Police Department, the Palm Bay Police Department, FDLE, the USMS and the State Attorney’s Office.

The partnership is a concept that is designed to locate and arrest the Worst of the Worst from our communities.

To date, the Task Force has arrested well over 1,000 violent offenders.
