BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a welcome reception for the chamber’s new President & CEO Jennifer Sugarman on Tuesday, September 8 at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront, located at 1550 N. Atlantic Avenue.

Sugarman, who has been the Director of the Chamber’s Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) for the past 15 months, previously worked for the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast for four years. She is currently running both the Chamber and its CVB until her replacement is announced.

Sugarman holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia.

The event, which will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m., is open to all partners and the community-at-large.

“Jennifer is well known in our community by many, but as a Board we want to ensure a proper welcome for her and give all of our partners and community members who may be less familiar a chance to visit with her,” said Jeanna Merrifield, Chair, Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce was established in 1968 as a voice for Brevard’s business community and serves Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Patrick Air Force Base, Port St. John, Rockledge, Suntree, Palm Shores and Viera.

“This community, our partners, and our dedicated group of volunteers are extremely important to me, our staff and to the vitality of this chamber,” said Sugarman.
