BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa police arrested Cody Ray Clark, 22, for attempted murder on two adult victims stemming from a shooting altercation that occurred at about 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to Cocoa Police Lt. Eric Austin, the identity of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin and the ongoing investigation.

Clark was driving in the area of State Road 520 and Fiske Boulevard when he saw the victims, who he knows, according to Lt. Austin.

“He shot into their vehicle numerous times and both of them (victims) were injured – neither injury is life threatening,” said Austin. “No other vehicles were struck by the gunfire.”

Both victims were taken to the hospital and no one else was injured in the incident.

“This is an isolated incident involving the suspect and victims, who have had altercations in the past,” said Lt. Austin. “Those altercations were investigated by Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.”

Cocoa Police Investigate Shooting Between Two Vehicles On State Road 520

Cocoa police responded to State Road 520 and Fiske Boulevard at about 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday in regarding a shooting that occurred on the roadway between two vehicles, according to Cocoa Police Lt. Eric Austin.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa police responded to State Road 520 and Fiske Boulevard at about 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday in regarding a shooting that occurred on the roadway between two vehicles, according to Cocoa Police Lt. Eric Austin.

“It appears the victims and the suspect may know each other,” said Lt. Austin. “The suspect’s vehicle, and the motive behind the shooting, is unknown at this time.”

According to Lt. Austin, the victims are two white males and the suspect is a white male. Their names are not being released at this time due to an ongoing investigation. The victim’s names are also being held pending family notifications and the investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
