Satellite Beach Author Edward A. Lacy Passes Away July 28

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA — Edward A. Lacy, 79, a native of Cookeville, Tennessee and a 50-year resident of Satellite Beach, passed away on July 28, 2015.

He graduated from Tennessee Tech and worked as a technical editor in the defense industry. Ed was active in the Baptist church, serving for many years as a deacon and adult Sunday School teacher.

He was the author of numerous technical articles, newspaper columns and five technical books.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Webb Lacy; his children, Mark Lacy and wife Barbara, of Mason, OH; Lorri Lacy Richey and husband David, of Midland, NC; and Lee Lacy and partner Alex Blanco of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, including Kendra Lacy, Brad Muchnicki, Stacie Muchnicki, Jonathan Richey, and Staci Richey; four great-grandchildren, including Ellie Muchnicki, Olive Carlson, Natalie Richey, and Avery Richey; and his sister, Ruby Dell Sliger of Cookeville, TN.

A memorial gathering will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Sat. Aug. 1, 2015 at Beach Funeral Homes – East with a service to begin at 1 p.m.
