BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay’s Economic and Business Development division has partnered with the Public Information Office to produce a one minute promotional video highlighting the best of Palm Bay.
City Manager Gregg Lynk unveiled the video at Thursday’s regular city council meeting.
It features scrolling images of Palm Bay’s landscape including the iconic letters along the Palm Bay Road Interchange, the city’s “high-tech” business centers, work force, schools, medical facilities, bike trails and more.
The images include several high profile Palm Bay rankings including the top 10 city for STEM graduates, seventh in the country for technology jobs, and 2nd for millennials. It boasts of its “playful city” designation and includes images of recent destination events such as the 2014 Run or Dye, the upcoming Tough Mudder and the world famous bass fishing venues along the Stick Marsh and St. John’s River.
“We wanted to send a high energy message that describes how great this city is, who we are and what we are about as a city,” said Andy Anderson the city’s Economic and Business Development administrator who narrates one of three versions of the sixty second promo.
“We did this all in-house which saved us a ton of money and we plan to circulate it across a wide variety of audiences. We want people to know who we are and that we are ready to get to work to build an even better Palm Bay.”
It also features a short segment about “raising sports heroes” and includes Bayside High School Graduate Chris Heston who recently pitched a no-hitter with the World Champion San Francisco Giants.
The video will be delivered to the city’s social media venues, media outlets, realtors and prospective business investors.
It is also aimed at increasing the city’s positive online presence.
The “We Are Palm Bay” video is the first in a planned series of promotional videos featuring the city’s assets and willingness to bring in new business and development.
