BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to the smell of smoke in a commercial building in the 100 block of Sykes Creek Parkway in Merritt Island at about 12:18 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to BCFR, no active fire was found, but one patient with chest pains was treated.
