Duran Golf Club Raises Money For Devereux School In Viera

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA –Duran Golf Club celebrated their 10 year anniversary this past summer.
During this short history, Duran has not only become recognized as the top rated golf facility on the Space Coast, but an organization that has a reputation for giving back to the community.
The club held a “Win a Year of Golf Balls” contest in conjunction with their 10 year anniversary to benefit the Devereux School in Viera.
General Manager, David Tomczak was honored to present Patti Hurst of Devereux and Dan Adovsdio, the Chair of their Board, with a check for $1,000 which was the proceeds of this fundraising effort.
“Our players, employees, members and guests have all enthusiastically embraced our philanthropic commitment, extending our efforts to give to our county’s deserving organizations,” said David Tomczak, General Manager of Duran Golf Club.
“We donate to at least 200 charities a year, working to make a difference with various organizations and non-profits.”
The winner of the contest was Duran Signature Member, David Johnson of Melbourne, Florida. David graciously donated back half of his winnings to Devereux, worth another $225 given to this great local school.
Duran Golf Club values local community involvement and is actively involved in numerous ways assisting charities to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.
The Academy of Golf instructors are available year-round for individual or group sessions from our state-of-the-art Development Center.
