BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech volleyball started the 2015 campaign off right with a victory in its season opener against Dominican (N.Y.). In the first match of the Flagler Invitational, the Panthers dominated the Chargers 3-0, with final set scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-13.

Head coach Amy O’Brien is pleased with her team’s performance versus Dominican.

“It’s always nice to start the season with a ‘W’,” said O’Brien.

“The girls did a great job going into today’s match prepared and as a result we played very well as a team. Everybody had the opportunity to play today which is something we always try to do when we can. We just need to get focused and bring this enthusiasm over into tomorrow’s tough matches with Anderson and Flagler.”

The Panthers face Anderson (S.C.) at 2 p.m. ET before taking on host Flagler in the 7 p.m. match.
