BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Following an emotional five set loss to Nova Southeastern on Friday night, Florida Tech (7-3, 2-1 SSC) came out on Saturday looking to bounce back against the Lynn Fighting Knights (5-5, 0-3 SSC).

The Panthers controlled from the opening set as they swept their Sunshine State Conference foe in straight sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-20).

Freshman Olivia Hersey led the Panthers with a game-high 14 kills and a hitting percentage of .722. Seniors Alea Hamm and Marilyn Dickregistered eight and seven kills, respectively. Hamm and Hersey also combined for six assisted blocks in the match.

In the middle, senior Ashtin Truesdale and freshman Kiersten Rosa dished out 14 and 13 assists, respectively. On the Panthers back line, sophomore Becca Bower notched 14 digs and junior Jenna Schaffer recorded 11 digs.
