VIDEO: New Leads Revive Search For Teen Boaters Lost At Sea In July

ABOVE VIDEO: According to WPEC-Ch. 12, a new discovery has search teams back out in the water near the Jupiter Inlet in connection to the case of the two Tequesta teens who were lost at sea.

According to WPEC-Ch. 12, a new discovery has search teams back out in the water near the Jupiter Inlet in connection to the case of the two Tequesta teens who were lost at sea.

Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos, both 14-years old, were last were seen leaving the Jupiter Inlet in a 19-foot SeaCraft boat on July 24.

Divers and canine teams from Peace River Search and Rescue told CBS12 reporter Lynda Figueredo they were diving near Burt Reynolds Park and found items that may be connected to the boy’s missing boat.

DEEMI Search and Rescue is working with the Peace River.

“One of our volunteers, Kendra Melos, was able to come up with some additional images that we were able to delve into and locate some areas of interest,” said Richard Bowie with DEEMI.

“We were able to dive, with the help of Peace River, we were able to develop which points.”
