Women’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis Players Share EFSC’s Student-Athletes of the Week Honors

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Women’s soccer player Khadija Shaw and women’s tennis players Annaleigh Collings and Giulianna Hull are the Eastern Florida Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27.

Shaw, a freshman midfielder from Spanish Town, Jamaica scored two goals in 30 seconds in the second half to break a 1-1 tie and lift No. 1-nationally ranked Eastern Florida past Polk State 3-1 in its Florida College System Activities Association/NJCAA Region 8 opener on Sept. 21.

This is the second straight week that Shaw has earned the Student-Athlete of the Week award.

Collings and Hull, freshmen from DeBary, Florida and San Carlos, Costa Rica respectively, won the doubles consolation final 8-6 at the USTA /ITA Regional Tournament at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs on Saturday.
