ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Orlando City Soccer midfielder Brek Shea has been called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team for an international friendly against Costa Rica, the 2014 FIFA World Cup quarterfinalists.

Set to take place at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., USA’s final match before the beginning of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET (ESPN, UniMás and Univision Deportes Network).

Shea has earned 33 caps at the international level, scoring four goals with the red, white and blue. The midfielder most recently scored for the U.S. in friendlies against Chile and Switzerland.

Shea has appeared in 18 matches with Orlando City SC in the team’s inaugural MLS season, recording four assists while featuring at left-back and as a midfielder in Head Coach Adrian Heath’s system.

The Lions face New York City FC in their final regular season home match on Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.
