BREVARD COUNTY • TIUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The City of Titusville invites its water customers to exchange their old (pre-1994) shower heads for new low-flow shower heads.
The City offers its water customers free massaging shower heads that have multiple flow settings (from fine to coarse) and only use 2.0 gallons of water per minute (gpm).
Shower heads manufactured before 1994 can use up to 5 gpm of water. Shower heads manufactured after 1994 use 2.5 gpm or less. Using one of our new low-flow shower heads allows you to enjoy your shower, while saving water!
The Shower head Exchange Program is an ongoing year-round conservation program. City of Titusville water customers may exchange up to four shower heads per household.
Multi-family or commercial accounts, such as apartments or motels that wish to exchange more than 12 shower heads should contact the Conservation Office to confirm an adequate supply is available.
Water customers may exchange their old shower head at the Conservation Office located at the Mourning Dove Water Treatment Plant, located at 2836 Garden Street. Exchanges may be made Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
