BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – When a worried mother needed help finding her mentally-challenged son who fled from her during a fuel stop off I-95 as they were heading home to South Florida, Officer Dan Rhoades and his K9 partner “Bear” responded.

Within a few short minutes the missing person was located.

It’s just one of many success stories within the Cocoa Police Department.

Bear, who is 2-years old, came to the Cocoa Police Department last March and was purchased with money donated by local residents and business leaders.
