Cocoa Police Search For Hit and Run Suspect That Involved Motorcycle, Adult and Child Injured

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa police patrol officers are investigating a hit and run crash involving a truck that struck a motorcycle with an adult and child on board.

Witnesses say the motorcycle, a Yamaha cruiser model, was northbound on Fiske Boulevard when the driver of a green Ford F-150 pickup truck turned left in the 1000 block of North Fiske, striking the motorcycle and causing the riders to be ejected, according to Cocoa police.

The driver of the truck, described only as a Hispanic male, did not stop to render aid and fled the area.

The victims were flown to local hospitals with non life threatening injuries, according to Yvonne Martinez, Cocoa Police Department spokesperson.

Both riders were wearing helmets.

Officers are currently searching for the vehicle, which is believed to be a 1997-2003 model dark green F-150 extended cab truck.CRIMELINE-200

It should have damage to the lower front fender and passenger side door.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 in this case.
