BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Canaveral Port Authority is hosting its first annual “Paws and Pints at the Port” event on October 17 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

“We will be partnering with the SPCA, the Brevard Humane Society and Brewmasters Invatational to celebrate our furry friends,” said Kellie Frakes, Supervisor of Recreation & Events at Port Canaveral.

“The local community will be invited to bring their furry family member for a day trip to the port to meet other animals, take a run on the doggie fun zone course and hang out listening to music while enjoying craft brews.”

There will be a Kid’s Zone, as well with a bounce house, cotton candy and face painting.

“Since this is the first event of its kind at the Port, I don’t have a firm estimated attendance, but we are expecting up to 4,000 people. This event is being held directly in front of the Exploration Tower but will be completely outdoors.”

Craft beer will be provided by Brewmaster’s Invitational

Highlights include free entry, pets are encouraged, pet adoptions, pet vaccinations, pet agility course presented by Doggie Fun Zone, live music and  great food vendors.
