BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Michael Anthony Brayboy of Cocoa on Friday for Grand Theft Auto, Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, Driving with a Suspended License, Burglary, and Violation of Felony Probation, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs.

The incident unfolded on Friday morning at about 7:45 a.m. when a 2007 Black Jeep Wrangler was reported stolen from James Road in the unincorporated area of Cocoa.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., the vehicle was spotted in the area of Cape Canaveral and then fled upon sight of Deputies.

According to Cpl Jacobs, the Sheriff’s Aviation helicopter responded and was able to assist in coordinating units with the apprehension of Brayboy, who was arrested as he ran from the jeep after deputies used stop sticks to disable the vehicle.

Brayboy is currently being held in the Brevard County Jail on a no bond status and is suspected of being involved in other burglaries in the central Brevard area, according to Cpl. Jacobs.
