The Eastern Florida’s women’s tennis team begins its third season as a program this fall. The Titans were 4-9 in their spring 2015 championship season, an improvement from their inaugural 3-11 season. They were ranked 17th nationally in 2015.

“I am very excited to be named the head tennis coach at Eastern Florida State College and want to thank Jeff Carr and (college President) Dr. (Jim) Richey for this outstanding opportunity,” Thor said.

“There’s a robust tennis community in Brevard County and I am looking forward to building a nationally competitive program to represent it.

“With EFSC’s location, facilities, and educational opportunities, we should be a top destination for the best tennis players around the world looking to have a great student-athlete experience.”

Eastern Florida’s women’s tennis team is one of six competing in the FCSAA and Region 8.
