BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Women’s soccer player Julia Hernandez, men’s soccer player Dennis Hall and men’s basketball player B.J. Gladden are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1.

Hernandez, a freshman forward from Madrid, Spain had four goals and two assists in an 8-1 victory over Broward College on Friday giving her 20 goals and 11 assists for the season for a team second-highest 51 points.

The nationally No. 1-ranked women finished the regular season 13-0 and next play in the NJCAA District H title game.

Hall, a freshman forward from Port St. Lucie, Florida and Treasure Coast High, came off the bench to score two goals as Eastern Florida beat Broward College 4-2 to win its third straight Florida College System Activities Association/NJCAA Region 8 title.

The men (12-1-2) advance to the Southeast District Tournament.

Gladden, a sophomore forward from Charlotte, North Carolina and the University of Akron, had 15 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in Eastern Florida’s season-opening 94-77 victory against USC-Salkehatchie on Friday and 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and a steal against in the 88-76 victory over Atlanta Metro on Saturday.

The victories extended Eastern Florida’s home court winning streak to 49 games.
