BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Monday, the NCAA released the most recent edition of the Division II Football Regional Rankings, with Florida Tech being slated in the sixth spot in Super Region II.
The Panthers moved up two spots from last week’s No. 8 position after defeating then No. 1 West Georgia on Saturday at Florida Tech Panther Stadium.
With FIT in the top-7 in the super region, the Panthers are currently in position to qualify for the NCAA Playoffs. The top-7 teams in each super region advance to the postseason.
With implications of astronomical proportions on the line for both teams, Florida Tech’s Gulf South Conference matchup with No. 18 Valdosta State has been selected as the NCAA Division II Game of the Week.
