Florida Tech Ranked 24th In Latest National Weekly Ranking Poll, First In Program History

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – For the first time in the three-year history of the program, Florida Tech has been recognized as one of the top-25 teams in the nation by D2Football.com, sliding in at No. 24 in the latest weekly poll.

It is the first time that the Panthers have ever been ranked in either of the two primary polls used by media outlets, the D2Football.com Poll and the American Football Coaches Association of America (AFCA) Coaches’ Poll.

FIT is one of four Gulf South Conference teams to make the rankings this week.

West Georgia fell out of the top spot to No. 6 after its loss to the Panthers, while North Alabama and Valdosta State come in at No. 10 and No. 16, respectively.

The Panthers wrap up the regular season against the Blazers on Saturday. FIT will take on VSU at 3 p.m. ET in a game that has been selected as a Division II Game of the Week.

The game will be streamed nationally on both ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
