BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A week after writing a letter to Florida Tech fans and Brevard residents before the West Georgia contest, Florida Tech defensive back Leo Alba II, expresses his thanks to the thousands of fans that came out to support FIT in their victory over #1 West Georgia Saturday afternoon.

Dear Florida Tech Fans,

A special thank you from my fellow seniors and me for making our final regular season home game as memorable as it gets!

The enthusiasm that filled Florida Tech Panther Stadium last Saturday was incredible. I have never been a part of something as special as it is here at Florida Tech.

For those who could attend, you all were amazing, and it was great to have the opportunity to play in front of all 4,553 of you.

The environment that you gave us was clearly a competitive advantage when the pressure started to build up for our opponent, ranked No. 1 in all of NCAA Division II West Georgia.

This Saturday’s game against 18th-ranked Valdosta State in Valdosta, Georgia is just as important to us.

With a victory, we have a chance to win at least a share of the Gulf South Conference Championship and increase our chance of earning a spot in the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Kickoff on Saturday is at 3 p.m. I’d encourage you to watch the game on ESPN3 or the WatchESPN app and tune into WFIT 89.5 FM starting with the pregame show at 2:30 p.m.

Once again, thank you for your support on a memorable day for all of us.

Go Panthers!
