It’s not often these days that you hear good things about huge international companies.

But that’s just the opposite when it comes to Sodexo, the company that supplies food, housekeeping and concierge services for Parrish Medical Center.

Sodexo touches the lives of 75 million consumers in 80 countries every day. In North America alone, they serve more than 15 million consumers at 9,000 client sites. Wherever they work, their dedication to making every day a better day for people and organizations comes from one goal — to positively improve Quality of Life.

“It’s our goal and philosophy to help those in need whenever we can,” says Lisa Cavallero, Executive Director of Support Services for the company.

Their organization has been working with the Doctor’s Goodwill Foundation since it began many years ago, she said.

“When Dr. Bhalani was trying to get interest in the very beginning and was struggling to get people interested, we were there, offering to provide food for his special events,” Lisa added.

HELPING HAND

Since that time the two have continued to work hand-in-hand as they both grew. This year, when DGF held a large health fair at Space Coast Stadium, Sodexo was able to donate $1,000 towards food.

It’s not only the missions that DGF performs that are so important, she added. The scholarships they offer to those interested in becoming physicians or nurses and the health-care events for those in need are equally as important.

When you are part of a community like ours with many in need, it’s important to have organizations that care, she said.

“In a small community, we have to give back a buck or a helping hand,” she added.
