UPDATE: NOV. 17, 2015 – 11:25 a.m.

Eastern Florida State College and Brevard Public Schools have cancelled all lockdowns after authorities investigated earlier reports of a suspect threatening gun violence on the Eastern Florida State College Cocoa campus.

EFSC Alert – The Cocoa campus emergency has ended. Authorities on site say the campus is safe. The lockdown is over….

ORIGINAL STORY: NOV. 17, 2015 – 10 a.m.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Authorities are on scene and investigating reports that a suspect is threatening gun violence at Eastern Florida State College’s Cocoa campus.

In a Facebook post, Eastern Florida authorities requested those on campus to remain indoors and lock doors until further notice.

Also on lockdown are nearby Endeavour Elementary School, Cocoa High School, Cambridge Elementary School and Saturn Elementary School.

“No activity is currently taking place on any of these campuses,” the Brevard Public Schools said on their Facebook page.

“All students and staff are safe, and the schools are cooperating with law enforcement. We will update our social media platforms when the lockdowns are lifted.”
