BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – As the masses hit the stores on “Black Friday” the Cocoa Police Department asks you to put its Cocoa Community First Thrift Shop on the list of places to shop.

The shop will host its biggest sale featuring name brand clothing, some of which has been donated brand new, home décor, shoes and more at far below retail pricing.

Brand new jackets can be purchased for less than $10.  Quality party dresses are available for as little as $5. Christmas décor, housewares, furniture and other items in superb condition are also available.

The Cocoa Community First Thrift Shop is located in Byrd Plaza, 801 Dixon Blvd.

It is open Tuesday through Friday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  The store will be closed on Thanksgiving.

“We have some really great items here, some with store tags still on them that have been given to us to help raise money for our local children,” said Holly Lightholder, a volunteer who manages the thrift shop.

“People really should come by and check it out.  I promise you won’t be disappointed and what’s even better is it’s shopping for a good cause.”

All proceeds from the sale of items at the store benefit the Cocoa Community First non-profit which funds the police department’s youth outreach programs including the Police Athletic League programs, summer camp, Shop with a Cop and holiday toy drive.

For more information or to volunteer contact the Thrift Shop at 321-877-2892.
