TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA (Seminoles.com) – Jimbo Fisher challenged his team to show its class and character in the wake of last week’s disappointing loss at Clemson.
The Seminoles answered that challenge on Saturday against North Carolina State.
Dalvin Cook ran for two touchdowns and Sean Maguire threw for two more as FSU erased an early deficit and pulled away for a 34-17 victory on homecoming at Doak Campbell Stadium.
Florida State improves to 8-2 and finishes its ACC campaign at 6-2. The Seminoles will hold their home finale next week against Chattanooga (3 p.m.)

“You talk about responding. I was proud of those guys and what they walked out there and did,” Fisher said.
“We had some mistakes early, shot ourselves in the foot to put (NC State) in the lead. And our defense just kept playing. Our offense, once we got the rhythm, we started scoring and moving the ball.”
